No In-Home Mail Delivery on October 10th, Columbus Day

As a reminder, Monday, October 10th, 2022, is Columbus Day, so there will be no in-home mail
    delivery.

Columbus Day is a U.S. holiday that commemorates the landing of Christopher Columbus in the Americas in 1492. It was unofficially celebrated in several cities and states as early as the 18th century but did not become a federal holiday until 1937.

On this second Monday of October, many recognize Indigenous Peoples Day, celebrating and honoring Native American Peoples' history and culture.

Indigenous Peoples Day was instituted in Berkeley, California, in 1992 to coincide with the 500th anniversary of the arrival of Columbus in the Americas on October 12, 1492. The holiday celebrates and honors Native American Peoples commemorating their histories and cultures. Two years later, Santa Cruz, California, instituted the holiday. Starting in 2014, many other cities and states adopted the holiday.
